About the Role
As our Controller at Traction Complete, you are responsible for overseeing the financial accounting for the company, including execution and overseeing various financial and administrative processes, being involved in business planning, preparing financial reporting to management, and playing a key role in audit and compliance, reporting to the CEO.

What You Will Be Doing
- Lead the Finance & Accounting team, with oversight of financial reporting, the full accounting cycle, and payroll functions
- Own revenue recognition across the contract portfolio, including the review of complex and non-standard arrangements
- Own the monthly calculation, reconciliation, and reporting of core SaaS KPIs
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and the Accounts Payable cycle
- Deliver accurate and timely financial and management reporting, including all group reporting requirements
- Direct the payroll function, including payroll tax remittances and compliance filings across all applicable jurisdictions, and the preparation, review, and filing of annual T4s and T4As
- Manage the treasury function, including cash forecasting and working capital management
- Oversee ongoing tax remittances and filings (GST, PST, source deductions) and manage the relationship with external advisors on annual corporate tax filings and the year-end audit
- Identify and implement technology-enabled improvements that increase the accuracy, efficiency, and decision-usefulness of finance and operations processes
- Serve as the primary finance point of contact for internal stakeholders, external partners, and suppliers
- Lead ad hoc financial analysis and continuous improvement projects as the business scales
What You Bring
- 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including 3+ years directly managing and developing a finance team
- CPA or other recognized Professional Accounting Designation
- Proven experience in a dynamic, high-growth SaaS company, where adaptability is imperative
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to operate efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial reporting (ASPE and IFRS)
- Confidence, and exceptional communication abilities
- Strategic mindset, and solid knowledge of financial planning, forecasting and analysis
- Ability to operate broadly and to add value beyond traditional accounting
Compensation
Our market data is refreshed on an annual basis to reflect the most current market conditions. The salary band for this role is $140,000 - $160,000 commensurate with experience.
Starting salaries will vary within this range based on experience, skill level, and internal equity related to the role. In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
